CBIE Libyan-North American Scholarship Program
Deidre Serrano is the Director for CBIE's Libyan-North American scholarship program, U.S. Division. Previously, she worked as an Adviser with the SABIC Saudi scholarship program in Houston, Texas, and she also served as a DSO and International Student Adviser at Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York. In addition to advising international students at the university level, Deidre served as Program Director for a nonprofit high school exchange organization, bringing international students to the United States to attend school while living with host families, while also working with high school foreign language teachers to organize hosting and study abroad opportunities for their students. Deidre earned her Master’s Degree in Intercultural Relations from Lesley University and completed her Bachelor's Degree from The Ohio State University with a double major in French and International Studies after studying abroad in Besancon, France and at Laval University in Quebec.
