Tetyana Schneider has more than 15 years of experience in international education. The major part of her career was spent in 2-year colleges where she provided support to F1 and J1 international students and later to domestic students who traveled to study abroad. She is interested in improving international students' learning experiences and has been enhancing her teaching skills by applying active learning approaches and using technology in the classroom. Currently Tetyana is working at UW-Madison as the Student Advisement Center Coordinator. In addition to managing the front desk operation of the International Student Services and serving as a DSO she teaches a first-year seminar to international students.

Samantha McCabe is currently an International Student Advisor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In addition, Samantha is currently completing her master's in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis specializing in Global Higher Education at UW-Madison. She is an international education professional with nearly five year's experience in international student services and non-immigrant visa regulations; international recruitment, credential evaluation and admissions; enrollment management; and education abroad. A responsible and compliant DSO and ARO to 6,000+ F-1 and J-1 international students, dependents, and OPT/AT participants, she conducts ongoing analysis of the CFR to continually develop accurate F-1 and J-1 documents and forms, comprehensive ongoing orientation materials and development of blended and online learning modules for immigration and programmatic purposes. More recently, her efforts have been focused on curriculum redesign and assessment of a first-year seminar tailored to international students.
