Drawing upon pre- and post-study abroad assessment of 80 students, this poster presents the analysis of the changes in students’ views on human rights. The students assessed participated in programs traveling to either The Gambia or Vietnam.

Emil Nagengast earned his BA at Middlebury College in German and Political Science. He earned his PhD in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh. He has been a professor at Juniata College since 1996. He has taken over 250 Juniata students on 13 short-term trips to The Gambia, Vietnam and Germany.
