Mary Beth Polk is an International Programs Coordinator at the University of Oklahoma. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Asian Studies from the University of Oklahoma in 2009 and studied Chinese in Beijing at Minzu University of China. Upon graduation, she moved to Chongqing, China where she taught English to university students for four years, focusing on intercultural communication. She is now back at the University of Oklahoma where she worked in International Student Services and now serves as International Programs Coordinator. She organizes workshops and events, coordinates OU's Friends to International Students host family program, advises international student leaders, and coordinates several aspects of orientation, including the in-person orientation and peer mentor program. As both an exchange student and expat, Mary Beth understands what it’s like to live and study in a foreign country, and enjoys helping students be part of the OU community.
Senior International Programs Coordinator

Megan Reeves is the Senior International Programs Coordinator at the University of Oklahoma, where she also graduated from in 2011 with her BA in International and Area Studies. She spent 2013 - 2014 living in Madrid, Spain where she graduated from the University of Alcalá de Henares with her MA in Multicultural and Bilingual Education while teaching English to Spanish students. In her current position at OU, she implements programming and events for international students that promote intercultural awareness and enable cultural exchange. She coordinates a variety of programs for international students, including the Friends to International Students (FIS) host family program, the International Student Speakers Bureau (ISSB), the New International Student Orientation (NISO) Experience, as well as monthly workshops, social gatherings, excursions, and advising international student organizations. As someone who has studied and lived abroad, Megan has a passion for giving international students who study in Oklahoma the best experience possible.
