5X - Magnet AXIOM 101: Fundamentals (Exhibitor Workshop by Magnet Forensics)

This lab will provide an overview of Magnet AXIOM and its features, including Project VIC and/or CAID files, Photo DNA, and skin tone analysis, all aiding in the expedient identification of potential crime victims. Attendees will work with our forensics experts to process a case understanding the requirements for expediency and thoroughness when dealing with underage victims. AXIOM enables Examiners to compartmentalize all data sources into one concise and complete review tool, which gets straight to the artifacts necessary to solve cases dealing with children and missing persons. Lastly, our experts will guide everyone through our collaborative reporting and reviewing.

This is an exhibitor lab sponsored by Magnet Forensics.

This session will qualify you to earn an entry into a drawing for an Apple watch. Drawing to be held Wednesday evening at 7:45 pm at the social event in the Lone Star ballroom. You must be present to win.

Senior Instructor
Magnet Forensics

Christopher Vance is a Senior Instructor with Magnet Forensics. He has been an instructor with several major forensics companies for over five years, primarily instructing individuals in mobile device forensics. Prior to becoming a full-time instructor, Christopher worked as an analyst with the West Virginia State Police’s Digital Forensics Unit where he was also tasked to the Internet Crimes Against Children task force. As part of the ICAC task force, Christopher has a deep understanding of what evidence is important to ICAC investigations. Christopher hails from Huntington, WV where he received a degree in Digital Forensics from Marshall University.
