Family engagement (FE) is the responsibility among families, schools, and communities to support children's learning. For libraries, family engagement entails respectful partnerships offering opportunities for families to be active in their children's education. Strong libraries create possibility for FE, expanding programs and creating community partnerships. They are dedicated to learning to improve – building professional capacity for FE, securing resources, and ensuring that all families have equitable access to resources. Attend this session to hear experiences of leading libraries to integrate FE, and learn how to assess your own programs, professional development and partnerships to create more possibility for FE.
