Dr Laura E Peycke received her DVM from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. Dr Peycke completed a small animal surgical residency at Lousiana State University and received her American College of Veterinary Surgeons board certification (SA) in 2004. Dr Peycke joined the Department of Small Animal Clinical Science at the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Dr Peycke was hired as a clinical professor and provides senior clinican support of the orthopedic surgical service and teaches veterinary students in all aspects of small animal surgical practice. Dr Peycke's focus is primarily clinical teaching and clinical service; however, she has been involved in leadership and committee positions in teaching and is involved in continuing education outside of the hospital. Dr Peycke also received a second specialty board certification from the American College of Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2013. She presently serves as faculty advisor and as ACVS program director for the small animal residency program at TAMU CVM.
