Dr. Valery Scharf, DACVS, joined the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014 as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Small Animal Soft Tissue Surgery. She received her BS from Stanford University and her DVM from Texas A&M University prior to completing a rotating internship at The Ohio State University and a surgical residency and MS at the University of Florida. Her research interests include surgical oncology and endocrine neoplasia, novel treatments for canine osteosarcoma, and minimally invasive surgery.

Texas A&M University

Kelley Thieman Mankin DVM, MS, DACVS-SA works at Texas A&M University. She attended the University of Missouri for veterinary school, University of Tennessee for a rotating internship and University of Florida for residency. She has research interests in surgical site infections, transfusion medicine, and soft tissue surgery.
