Kenneth E. Sullins, DVM, MS, DACVS

Professor of Surgery
Midwestern Univ College of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Sullins is a Founding Surgeon at Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center (Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine) in Leesburg, VA. He received a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1976 from Colorado State University. After working in private practice for 5 years, Dr. Sullins completed a residency in large animal surgery at Colorado State University. He joined the Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center in July 1984. He achieved Diplomate status with the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 1986 and was promoted to Associate Professor of Surgery in 1988. In 2002, he was appointed Professor of Surgery. Dr. Sullins' particular interests include upper airway function and surgery, laser surgery, tumors, and local delivery of medications. He is a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and Phi Zeta veterinary honor society.
