John R. Dodam, DVM, MS, PhD, DACVAA

Professor and Chair
University of Missouri

Dr. Dodam earned his DVM degree in 1985 at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and worked as an associate veterinarian in mixed rural practice. He then enrolled at North Carolina State University and completed an anesthesiology residency, MS (pharmacology), PhD (physiology), and a postdoctoral fellowship. In 1995, Dr. Dodam joined the anesthesiology and emergency and critical care services at the University of Missouri, where he currently serves as chair of the Department of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery.
