Nana Murugesan

Nana Murugesan is Vice President and General Manager for Service and New Business at Samsung Electronics America (SEA), based at the Mountain View campus. Working across SEA’s executive leadership, Nana steers the company’s U.S. software and services strategy.

Skilled in unlocking new growth and turnaround, Nana oversees an interdisciplinary team that builds software and services into new businesses—shaping the company’s investment, commercialization and monetization roadmap.

Nana previously served as SEA’s Vice President for Strategy and Operations. He started his career with Samsung in 2009 in the Global Strategy Group in Seoul, Korea. Prior to Samsung, he was with Boston Consulting Group and Cisco.

He was an InSITE Fellow advising early stage startups and has received the Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award for community leadership.

Nana holds a MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania—as well as a master’s degree in computer engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Madras in India.

As President of Microsoft Payments, Inc., Youssef plans, directs and controls the entity’s overall business strategy and day-to-day-execution. Prior to joining Microsoft Payments, Inc., Youssef served as the Assistant General Counsel at Microsoft Corporation’s Legal and Corporate Affairs advising clients on a variety of financial regulatory and legal issues and payments. He has over 15 years of experience, in private practice and at Microsoft, advising clients on a variety of commercial transactions and commerce and payment services with a special focus on online and offline electronic payment services, prepaid access/stored value/virtual currency and cross-border payment. Prior to joining Microsoft, He was an attorney at Davis Wright Tremaine where he focused on corporate restructuring, reorganization and insolvency.

Frank Liddy is an operator, advisor and investor in the FinTech community with over 25 years of experience serving clients and partners who value profit with purpose.

Presently, Frank is responsible for PayPal’s In-Store strategic accounts and partnerships, focused squarely on helping retailers, banks and partners alike create great mobile experiences for their customers on PayPal’s open platform for commerce.

His past affiliations include senior leadership roles at: Capco (FIS Global), KPMG Consulting, Unisys, Citi, and the U.S. Army.

At the industry level, Mr. Liddy is a contributor to the Federal Reserve Bank’s Mobile Payment Industry Workgroup and has been quoted in leading publications such as: The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, American Banker, PaymentsSource and Bank Systems and Technology.

An investor in and advisor to early- and growth-stage companies, he is a board director at SpendSmart Payments Company (OTC: SSPC), a board advisor to JEGI (a leading M&A investment bank) and Transactis (an INC.500 company), and a deal advisor to Gauge Capital.

As a citizen-soldier in the US Army Reserve, he served for over 20 years in both command and general staff officer assignments. Most notably, he was an operations officer on the Army's Crisis Action Team in support of Operations: Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, Noble Eagle; and Joint Task Force Katrina.

Frank holds an AB in International Political Economy from Fordham University and attended both the MBA program at Pace University and the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.
