Catherine Johnston is the Chief Executive Officer of ACT Canada, the stakeholder association driving payment evolution and digital identity. She has been with the association for 27 years. She is also the Chair of the International Smart Card Associations Network, and founder of the Canadian Women in Payments Networking group.
As the CEO of ACT Canada, she works with issuers, acquirers, processors, merchants, regulators, consumers and other payments stakeholders. Catherine is a founding member and past Vice-Chairman of the Stakeholders Advisory Council of the Canadian Payments Association.
She monitors the market place and industry, consults, teaches and conducts executive briefings. She has become a leading expert in privacy and chip technologies, serving as the association’s Chief Privacy Officer.
Over the past six years, much of her focus has been on EMV, as Canada moved to convert. Now her focus is on EMV across North America, m-commerce and other emerging payment issues and opportunities. She is a frequent speaker at conferences around the world and is the driving force behind Cardware, Canada's premiere payments insight conference.

Fausto Rossi is Head of Acceptance Canada. Fausto oversees acceptance activities and manages relationships with all Canadian acquiring entities as well as certain major merchants to expand Discover acceptance footprint in Canada.
With over 25 years’ experience in the Canadian banking and cards services industries, Fausto joined Discover in 2011. Prior to joining Discover he held several senior management positions in sales, business development and account management for Citi Cards Canada, First Data, National Bank of Canada and Desjardins, both on the issuing and acquiring side of the card business . He started his career at the Royal Bank of Canada. He holds a Bachelor's degree from John Molson School of Business and currently enrolled at AIB -Australian Institute of Business for his MBA and is expected to complete December 2017.
Fausto was born in Italy and grew up in Montreal, where he currently lives with his wife Christine and two children, Jean-Philippe and Hugo. He enjoys travelling, Bikram Yoga and skiing.
