Friday, October 13
9:45 AM - 10:45 AM
Room: Ryman Ballroom F

Format: Presentation
Level: Any

This introductory session is designed for anyone new to manufacturing in Dynamics NAV or those team members outside the manufacturing team who want to understand the basic terms and processes. We'll cover the setup basics, including BOMs, routings, work centers and unit of measure, then cover the similarities and differences of considerations like build to order vs. build to stock. We'll also walk through the primary functions of how manufacturing works, such as planning and production scheduling, following the flow of transactions, and how order to promise translates into scheduling. We'll also begin to look at how costs flow through the manufacturing process.
