Room: Ryman Studio PQR

Format: Presentation
Level: Intermediate
CPE: 1
Version: Any

IoT, web services, production equipment integration - let's cut through all the techno-babble and talk about how to go truly paperless and connect your systems. We'll review options for sharing your MRP data out to the shop floor, what production data is there for you to collect, how you can collect it, how you can analyze it and drive KPIs, and most importantly, what decisions you can drive from this newfound insight. We'll cover handhelds, touch on MES, discuss what tools you already own vs. what you might consider, the importance of flushing and common issues with capturing good data, and more.

Anthony Darden

Director of IT
Caplugs

The first 18 years of my career was in application development (AcuCOBOL, RM-COBOL, PHP, Visual Basic, C#, jQuery) and system implementations. I designed Windows solutions for the foodservice industry, communicating with legacy Unix and AS/400 systems.

In December of 2012, I joined Caplugs during the early months of their NAV 3.7 to NAV 2009 R2 reimplementation. Since that time, we have upgraded to NAV 2013, 2015 and underway with 2017. Microsoft's innovation, ease of upgrading and incorporation of user group ideas has kept NAV fresh and exciting and I don't see that going away.

I look forward to sharing my experiences at the 2017 NAVUG Summit in Nashville, meeting others within this growing community, and leaving with valuable insights and fresh ideas for my company.
