NAVUG member Noosa Yoghurt was struggling with dropped sessions, intermittent unplanned downtime, and slow performance. Many of these issues were caused by our hosting provider, and they just weren't improving. A decision was made to "self-host" using Amazon AWS as our cloud infrastructure provider, with Noosa IT taking responsibility for the project to migrate to AWS, working with our partner. Monthly hosting charges were cut in half, performance and stability are excellent, and we can now access features of Dynamics NAV we never could with our previous arrangement. We'd love to share what we learned along the way!
Director of Information Technology
David started his career as a Cost Accountant before discovering that his true passion was Information Technology. Since making that career transition, he's held IT leadership positions at companies in industries that include high-tech electronics manufacturing, agricultural distribution, and food/consumer products. His IT experience has been focused on business intelligence and analytics, application and web development, and system integration and architecture. Even more than technology, he's driven to build IT organizations that are focused on customer service, enterprise-level best practices, and staff development and training. He's on a one-man crusade to destroy negative I.T. stereotypes (except the one about us all loving Star Wars; that one's true).
He currently works at Noosa Yoghurt in Bellvue, Colorado. Noosa is one of the fastest growing yogurt brands in North America and has been live on NAV for about 1.5 years. David is not beneath hinting that he might bring free yogurt samples to his Summit sessions if it entices people to attend his sessions and rate them as "tasty."
David will be leading two NAV sessions at Summit 2017:
