Do you know that you have more power than you thought? With Microsoft's Professional Service Tool Library (PSTL) you get a whole new set of functions that you can apply in Dynamics GP, where previously you had to mandate your Partner or a Dynamics GP Consultant. The tools are so valuable that Microsoft built some of them directly into the latest Dynamics GP releases.

Learning Objectives:

Beat Bucher

Sr. Business Analyst
Ultra Electronics-Forensic Technology Inc.

Beat has been using Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains since version 7.x back in 2003. Learned up the ins & outs of the system, mainly by creating reports and Excel queries linked to the back-end of the Great Plains system. Migrated in one company the Manufacturing system from HLM (Horizon Light Manufacturing) to the Microsoft Manufacturing module with Forecasting and resource planning. Currently running GP2013R2 and the financial reporting solution Management Reporter 2012 that replaced FRx a few years ago. He has a very good knowledge of the Great Plains security model since the switch from the 'optimistic' mode in GP 9.0 to the 'pessimistic' mode where by default all the resources are denied to a new user.
He also became a GPUG All Star in 2013 when attending the first time GPUG Summit, for his very active contributions after the launch of the GPUG Collaborate site. Beat was awarded in April 2015 the prestigious Dynamics GP MVP Award for his contribution to the user community over the past 10 years. He launched in Nov 2014 the 2nd GPUG chapter outside of the US, and helds the position as Chapter Leader of the GPUG Montreal GP chapter
Beat has received the GPUG Ruby Award 2016 in Tampa for his on-going contribution in the Forum & community. His MVP status was renewed for the 3rd year on July 1st, 2017.
