Senior Supervising Engineer- Electrical
Mr Kiehl is a PE and a Senior Supervising Electrical Engineer at WSP USA. He currently leads the electrical engineering efforts for the renewables group at WSP which includes wind, utility-scale solar, and energy storage projects. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado in Boulder. Mr Kiehl started his career at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in the Measurements and Characterizations department of the Photovoltaic Research group. Since then, Mr Kiehl has worked for consulting services, OEM in wind and in solar, utility clients, and EPC firms during his time in the power industry. Ongoing projects include energy storage EOR for a fast frequency response system to support large wind farms in the ERCOT territory. Also ongoing are detailed technical reviesw and due diligence for project evaluation and coordination, both in the US and internationally. In addition to power plant engineering, Mr Kiehl is performing electrical studies and creating reports to support interconnection requests for wind, solar, and energy storage projects.
