The electrical grid is undergoing major shifts, and renewable energy resources are playing a larger role within the complex system. This is opening up new implementation opportunities for smarter solar+storage and power conversion technologies, which are becoming lighter, smaller, more reliable and more efficient.
In this presentation, John will address current efforts being made within various customer-facing value streams to make power conversion profitable and discuss additional opportunities. John will use a visual slide deck to highlight five examples of these value streams, and will explore how similar strategies can be implemented on the utility side. The discussion will look at the future of solar+storage and how the industry will help decrease emissions, costs and inefficiencies with more sophisticated technology.

Prior to joining Ideal Power in early 2013, he spent three years at Draker/Solar Power Technologies working on both solar monitoring and solar power optimization technologies. He is a hands-on and collaborative leader, dedicated to building strong ties between engineering, operations, marketing, sales and end-customers. In addition to his renewables, storage integration and smart grid interests, John is passionate about sustainable business practices, energy efficiency and water use. He possesses a broad knowledge about energy management technologies and their positive impact on the U.S. economy and the environment.
