Global Awareness

Asynchronous Development. Name it. Recognize it. Manage it. Celebrate it.

Sunday, November 12
9:15 AM - 10:15 AM
Location: 213 A

Whether a parent, an educator, a counselor, or recognize it in yourself and/or others, asynchronous development is embedded in your experience. Recognizing, managing, and honoring it is a challenge. Members of the Columbus Group explore how asynchronous development manifests itself in the whole person – mind, heart, body, and spirit, why it requires deeper differentiation in the classroom, and influences family dynamics. Learn about Qualitative Assessment, developed by Annemarie Roeper, which identifies giftedness by focusing on the emotional characteristics known to have a correlation to high intellectual capacity and the Columbus Group definition of giftedness. There’s ample time for questions and discussion.
