Imagine Getting Gifted Kids Outdoors Voluntarily… with Geocaching You Can Make it Happen!

Friday, November 10
8:00 AM - 9:00 AM
Location: 213 A

Unstructured time in nature has amazing research-proven benefits, but kids get less and less. Gifted kids spend time reading and playing computer games, online instead of outside in nature. Nature reduces stress and hyperactivity, calms anxiety, sharpens problem-solving, improves social skills, and encourages creativity. But how to get gifted kids outdoors? Easy! With a game that starts on the computer, appeals uniquely to gifted minds, uses cool technology, offers puzzles to solve, has neat statistics and graphs, and offers a gifted community to play with. What’s this amazing game? Geocaching! Get started… even here! *Also for classroom use, adjusted.
