Spreading the Word(s) on Gifted: A Blogger’s Guide to Crafting your Message and Making Sure it’s Heard

Saturday, November 11
8:00 AM - 9:00 AM
Location: 202 A

Parent groups, advocates, and gifted centers alike face the daily challenge of reaching those within the gifted community. Even more challenging is reaching those outside the community, while introducing new audiences to issues surrounding gifted education. In today’s sea of information, it is imperative that we not only effectively tell our stories, but that we do so in a way that gets noticed. This session, created by a university-based communications team, focuses on how we use data, trends, word choice, and different platforms to increase our chances of reaching our audiences and of making an impact in the field.
