Dr. Mommy: Igniting, Not Extinguishing, the Light When You are Both Teacher and Parent

Saturday, November 11
1:15 PM - 2:15 PM
Location: 201 A

I’ve been a teacher; I teach teachers; I’ve researched, presented, and published about teaching the gifted child. By some set of formal standards I could be considered an “expert” in this field. Then, I became a parent to a gifted child who recites dates and facts, reads voraciously, has in-depth conversations with adults, and asks thought provoking questions -- all while struggling to write legibly, brush her teeth, and tie her shoes at 9 years old! There is no textbook like experience. Come join me to share ideas and strategies on how to meet the needs of your advanced learner at home.
