4 - A Cause I Believe in—Shining a Light On Global Citizenship

Saturday, Nov 11
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

“Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.” Theodore Roosevelt.
The gifted student often sees darkness in the world—whether it be global politics, human rights, health or environmental issues--and wonders, “What can I do?” The Global Citizen Project gives students the opportunity to answer this question and the resources to do something about it over an extended period of time. Through reflection, research and action, students learn about organizations committed to topics they are passionate about, and ultimately they create a short-term and long-term service plan of their own to address their global issue.
