88 - Using Icons to Increase Depth and Complexity of Thought

Saturday, Nov 11
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

Depth and Complexity Icons are visual prompts created by Dr. Sandra Kaplan. These icons promote critical thinking through exploration within a discipline and connections across the curriculum. The icons can be incorporated into daily lessons to promote deeper analysis of information. These thinking prompts push advanced learners beyond the obvious thought while creating a sense of enthusiasm and motivation. Once you introduce Depth and Complexity Icons, your students will readily grasp the concepts associated with each icon and explore content in a more sophisticated way.
