Samir is President & CEO of BMI which organises the leading international education events in the world. BMI, which celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2017 organizes over 70 different international, educational fairs, workshops and conferences worldwide. Samir has spoken at various industry conferences about key international student recruitment markets and working with agents in Asia, Europe and the Americas and works closely with numerous national education and scholarship agencies.

Sarah Ramisch

Sarah Ramisch has been professionally involved in higher education for the past 20 years, holding positions in international student advising, admissions and recruitment. Sarah holds a BA Honours from Carleton University, and an MSc from the University of Kent at Canterbury in the UK. Her background spans the areas of cross-cultural psychology, language testing, credential assessment, and international recruitment and admissions. She has worked for institutions in both the UK and Canada, spoken at numerous conferences, and taught workshops on international recruitment and credential assessment. Sarah has led and participated in a wide range of initiatives in more than 50 countries, and currently oversees international admissions and recruitment at Carleton University.

Nadia Redman

Nadia Redman is the Assistant Director of the Office of Recruitment, Marketing, and Communications at the University of Delaware English Language Institute. Since 2008, she has successfully recruited international students in a variety of markets. Her experience also includes international admissions and F-1 visa advising (former DSO). Nadia holds an MBA in International Management, as well as a Bachelor's degree in International Business with minors in Marketing, French, and Spanish. She is the founder of the blog Wanted: ESL Students (

Sara Sandford

Regional Director - The Americas and Europe

Sara Sandford is the Regional Director of the Americas and Europe in the University of Southampton’s Student Recruitment and International Relations Office. Within this role she has responsibility for implementing the University’s internationalisation strategy and leading a team of International Officers focusing on international student recruitment, exchanges, partnerships and collaboration across the region. Sara has direct responsibility for the University’s activities in Latin America and has over 5 years experience working in the region.

Prior to working at the University of Southampton, Sara was Marketing Manager in a publishing house for two years. She also spent a year teaching English in Mexico.

Sara has a BA in Spanish, Portuguese and Latin America Studies from the University of Southampton.
