Speakers from education organizations, universities and the private sector will share views on the Chinese policies, trends in internships and career services, and opportunities in China. This session is presented by the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE).

Ms. Shen Xuesong got her Bachelor’s Degree of Arts and Master’s Degree of Education from Beijing Normal University (China), and Master’s Degree of Public Administration from Ball State University (USA).
Ms. Shen joined China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) in 1996. She worked as Program Officer of International Liaison Department, Senior Officer of Academic and Information Exchange Department and Deputy Director of International Cooperation Department till 2006. From 2006 to 2012, Ms. Shen worked for UNESCO first as Liaison Officer and Education Officer in UNESCO New York Liaison Office and then as Education Program Specialist in Education Sector, UNESCO Headquarters in Paris. She was appointed Director of Executive Office after she returned to CEAIE in 2012, and also Director of Project Development and Marketing Department one year later.
Ms. Shen was appointed Deputy Secretary-General of CEAIE in October 2014. She supervises International Cooperation Department, Secretariat of China Annual Conference for International Education, Program Development and Marketing Department, as well as TVET and Professional Training Department.

Dr. Gregory O'Brien is the President of International Technological University (ITU). He has over 45 years of experience in higher education and has served in various leadership roles at universities across the United States. Prior to joining ITU, he served as the Distinguished President Emeritus of the 19 campus Argosy University System, Chancellor of the University of New Orleans, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs at the University of South Florida, Provost of the University of Michigan - Flint, and Dean of the School of Social Welfare at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. He received a PhD and Master’s degree in Social Psychology from Boston University and was awarded honorary degrees from Lehigh University and Western State University College of Law. Dr. O'Brien also received the US Navy’s Meritorious Service Award for his time in the armed services.
