Megan Forbes

University of Florida English Language Institute

Megan Forbes is the Director of the English Language Institute at the University of Florida. She holds a PhD in Higher Education Administration and Policy from the University of Florida, an MEd in Curriculum and Instruction from UF, and a BA in English and Government from the College of William and Mary in Virginia. In addition to serving as Director and teaching at the UF ELI, she has held the positions of Interaction Leader (Language Assistant), Assistant Activities Coordinator, Student Life Advisor, Listening/Speaking Coordinator, Cultural Immersion Program Coordinator, and Interim Director.

Nadia Redman

Assistant Director, Recruitment, Marketing, and Communications
University of Delaware

Nadia Redman is the Assistant Director of the Office of Recruitment, Marketing, and Communications at the University of Delaware English Language Institute. Since 2008, she has successfully recruited international students in a variety of markets. Her experience also includes international admissions and F-1 visa advising (former DSO). Nadia holds an MBA in International Management, as well as a Bachelor's degree in International Business with minors in Marketing, French, and Spanish. David B. Woodward

American Consortium of Universities

David B. Woodward is President of the American Consortium of Universities; from 1998 to 2016 he was President & CEO of Associates in Cultural Exchange. He is also Principal for DAVID WOODWARD & ASSOCIATES LLC, and Special Assistant for International Relations for Seattle Pacific University. Woodward was born in Iran where he spent his early youth and developed a fascination for languages and cultures of the world. As a result, he became fluent in Persian, French, and Arabic, studied a variety of other languages, and has traveled to over 50 countries. Following studies at Carleton College and the University of Washington, he received a National Resource Fellowship in Near Eastern Languages and Civilization. Woodward holds four degrees from the University of Washington, including a Master of Education in Higher Education with a specialization in Teaching English as a Second Language, a Master of Arts in Near Eastern Languages and Civilization, a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics, and a Bachelor of Arts in History. Besides teaching for A.C.E. in the 1980s, Woodward taught English as a foreign language at Kuwait University and has taught Modern Middle East History for Seattle Pacific University. He has worked with organizations in Oman, Kazakhstan, Russia, Switzerland, Japan, Korea, Australia, and numerous U.S. states. Woodward is the Sponsored Program Administration Liaison for NAFSA’s International Enrollment Management Knowledge Community as well as the Co-Chair for NAFSA’s Middle East Member Interest Group, a member of the U.S. Secretary of Commerce-appointed District Export Council for Washington State, the Nominations Committee of the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation, the Board of Directors of the Seattle Rotary Club, the Advisory Board of the Persian & Iranian Studies Department of the University of Washington, & the International Affairs Advisory Board of the City of Seattle.

Gabriela Zelaya

Global Education Team Leader
U.S. Department of Commerce

Gabriela Zelaya is the Global Education Team Leader for the U.S. Commercial Service, U.S. Department of Commerce Education Team. She manages and overseas U.S. Commercial Service Education Team programs that assist U.S. education institutions with international student recruitment. She also overseas CS collaboration with partners both domestically and abroad.

In California, she led the development of Study California for the State of California and is also the U.S. Commercial Service Liaison on the Board of Directors. The Study California initiative was developed for the purposes of attracting international students to California's diverse programs and institutions of higher education. Gabriela also led the development of the "U.S. International Education Stakeholder Roundtables" held in D.C. and NAFSA, and is leading the U.S. International Education Initiative within the U.S. International Trade Administration at Department of Commerce to assist the U.S. international education industry to compete globally.
