Senior Director, Center for Global Engagement

Kathy Hammett currently serves as Senior Director of the Center for Global Engagement at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. She has a B.A. in International Studies and an M.S. in College Student Personnel Services, both from Miami University, Ohio. Kathy has more than 30 years of experience in U.S. higher education with experience in Student Development and Academic Affairs. She built a highly respected office of international student services and became involved in NAFSA: Association of International Educators, serving in a number of regional and national positions before taking on the task of developing a comprehensive international office at Carroll University. Kathy received an International Education Administrators Fulbright to Japan in 2000. In 2007, she was selected to travel to Myanmar and Thailand as part of the U.S. Department of State Advisor’s Professional Partnership Program. Kathy has mentored a number of individuals who have entered the field of education and believes strongly in the power of education and engagement across cultures. She currently serves as chair-designate for the 2019 NAFSA Annual Conference and will chair the 2020 Annual Conference in St. Louis.
