Assistant Dean and Director of Global Education
Marisa Atencio has been an active member volunteer with NAFSA since 2001. She is the Assistant Dean and Director of Global Education at Oglethorpe University leading institutional strategy and campus internationalization. She completed the NAFSA Academy in 2007, served on the Travel Subcommittee from 2012-2015, has been active Trainer Corps member since 2012, completed the MDP in 2013, served as the Region VII Scholar Regulatory Ombusdperson (2016-2018), and has presented at local, regional, and national conferences. She is passionate about international education and being an advocate for global education experiences which support students to achieve personal and academic goals.

Charter Morris is currently Director of International Student & Scholar Services at The University of Alabama, where he has served since 2012. Charter is the PDSO and RO and his main areas of focus are J-1 scholar advising and F-1/J-1 student advising.
Charter began his career in international education in 2001 at The University of Mississippi where he worked until 2008. From 2008 to 2010, Charter worked as part of a USAID Project focused on institutional internationalization at American University of Central Asia in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, and from 2010 until 2012 he served as the Assistant Director for Immigration and Scholar Services at Syracuse University.
Charter is currently the Chair-Elect to NAFSA Region VII, a member of NAFSA Trainer Corps, and serves on the board of the Alabama Association of International Educators. Charter previously served as KCISSS Liaison for NAFSA Region VII and was on the chair stream for the Mississippi Association of International Educators.

Tina Rousselot de Saint Ceran serves as Director for International Student and Scholar Services at Georgia Institute of Technology overseeing immigration and support services for international students, scholars, and families. Tina holds a Master of Business Administration from Clemson University and a bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages from Austin Peay State University. She is an active national leader in NAFSA, the Association of International Educators, and was recently elected 2019 Chair-Elect for the Knowledge Community of International Student and Scholar Services. Tina currently serves as the NAFSA International Scholar Advising Network Leader and is an active NAFSA Trainer Corps member.

Loveness Schafer is the Associate Director of International Services in the office of International Programs at Louisiana State University and A & M College. She is responsible for J-1 scholar advising, H-1B petitions, PERM, and Outstanding Professor/Researcher petitions. Loveness has served as a trainer at a number of NAFSA regional and annual conference workshops, and is a regular session presenter at these conferences. Loveness is the former NAFSA Trainer Corps Chair and Professional Learning Services Liaison; former member of NAFSA’s Employment – Based ISSRP Subcommittee; former chair of NAFSA’s Prevailing Wage Working Group; and former Regulatory OMBUDS (Scholar) for NAFSA’s Region III.
