Martine Angrand is a DSO, F-1 International Student Advisor at the University of Florida International Center, Gainesville, FL. She joined the UFIC as an International Student Advisor in January 2006 and as of July 2011, is currently the Assistant Director of International Student Services.
Along with five other International Student Advisors, Martine assists over 6,500 students with all aspects of being an F-1 International Student. She has presented at state and regional conferences, including being a co-trainer for F-1 Student Advising for Beginners (NAFSA FAIE 2015) and F-1 Intermediate Student Advising (NAFSA FAIE 2016). She also co-presents at the Immigration 101 for UF Faculty and Staff, the UF Graduate Coordinators Workshop, and is the UF Career and Resource Center liaison for staff and employer education regarding International Student regulations.
She speaks fluent English and Creole and understands French and Spanish better than she speaks it. She hopes to one day convince her F-1 students that the information she provides them is, more than likely, more correct than what "My Friend" said.
ELS Educational Services, Inc.
Mathelda Molina has worked for ELS Language Centers since 1983 and has been the SEVIS coordinator for all ELS Language Centers since 2003. She has given presentations on F1 issues related to intensive English programs at several NAFSA regional conferences, and served as the intensive English programs liaison for NAFSA Region III in 2007. She served as Chair of the Houston Forum as well as the vice president for advocacy of the American Association of Intensive English Program (AAIEP/English USA).. She is a native of Nicaragua and has lived in Houston, Texas since 1982.

Santa Barbara City College International Programs
Carola Smith serves as Acting Dean at Santa Barbara City College. She frequently presents both at regional and national NAFSA conferences as well as at other international education conferences and has been actively engaged with NAFSA for the past 19 years. She came to the US as an international student and earned her Bachelors and Masters Degree as well as her Teaching Certificate in English as a Second Language from the University of California, Santa Barbara. For the past 5 years, Ms. Smith has served in a variety of leadership roles within the NAFSA Academy, which she currently chairs.

Amy VanSurksum has worked in international education for 20 years, with experience in study abroad, international student advising and international admissions at both the secondary and post-secondary education levels. She is currently serving as Past-Chair for NAFSA's International Enrollment Management Knowledge Community. A frequent workshop and session presenter at regional and national conferences, she currently works as the Associate Dean of International Student Services and Study Abroad at South Puget Sound Community College in OIympia, Washington.
