Katerina Roskina is the Owner and Senior Evaluator at China Credential Services. Born in Russia, educated in Russia and China. Education: MA degree equivalent in Linguistics, Intercultural Communication and Mandarin Chinese. Professionally engaged in International Education since 2002 (ESL instructor, curriculum developer, interpreter/translator), and credential evaluator since 2010. Professional responsibilities: credential evaluation, research, training, admissions consulting, academic exchange facilitation, integration programming etc. Professional interests: transnational education, advocacy for Chinese students. Mission: Enabling China-educated individuals to make educated choices about studying in the US, helping US institutions to assist those individuals in making the best of their investment in US education.

Tara Madden-Dent

Director of Global Programs
Sierra Nevada College

Tara Madden-Dent, Ph.D., specializes in the preparation and integration of students preparing to study outside of their home country. Central to her work is the advancement of social sciences research in international higher education and works with the premise that pre-departure cultural and academic knowledge/skills help empower students during overseas study as global citizens able to navigate diverse academic, social, and professional environments. Tara serves as the Director of Global Programs at a private undergraduate and graduate college as well as a contractor for universities, government agencies, and non-profits establishing sustainable socially-emotionally and culturally appropriate programs

Dawn R. Wood

Dean, International Programs
Kirkwood Community College

Dawn Wood serves as the Dean of International Programs for Kirkwood Community College. With over 20 years of experience in international education, Ms. Wood is responsible for forwarding the international vision and global commitment of Kirkwood Community College. The International Programs area at Kirkwood requires her direction in the area of international partnerships, international student services, international admission and recruitment, study abroad programming, intercultural exchange, international grant management, and international curriculum and faculty development.
Ms. Wood graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in International Business and Psychology from the University of Northern Iowa. She also holds a Master’s Degree in International Management with an emphasis in International Education and Training from the School for International Training.
Ms. Wood has experience living and working abroad in both Denmark and the Czech Republic and has travelled extensively throughout the world in her past work. She has served as a leader and presented at many international conferences including involvement in several international education organizations including NAFSA: Association of International Educators, Phi Beta Delta, Professional International Educators Roundtable, StudyIowa, and Community Colleges for International Development and Global Education Network.
