Key updates regarding employment-based immigration are presented, including the latest issues in the H-1B category, PERM, and compliance. Presenters will share practical guidance around topics such as: AC21 regulations, PERM modernization, prevailing wage issues, the new FLSA salary threshold, site visits, and RFE trends.

Elise A. Fialkowski, Esq, is a partner at Klasko Immigration Law Partners, LLP where she provides immigration assistance to leading universities, research institutions, multinational corporations and individuals. Elise is also experienced in advising employers with regard to worksite compliance. Elise is an active member in the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), having served as chair of the Philadelphia Chapter and on national committees. She currently serves on AILA’s Global Migration Section Steering Committee and AILA's Philadelphia CBP Liaison Committee. Elise has been listed in “Pennsylvania Superlawyers,” “The International Who’s Who of Corporate Immigration Lawyers” and “The International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers.” A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Elise received her JD from the Villanova University School of Law.

Shinn Ko serves as Director of International Student and Scholar Services at Emory University. She has presented numerous sessions and workshops at NAFSA conferences. She has also held various leadership positions within NAFSA including the Leadership Development Committee, Chair of KCISSS Professional Development Subcommittee, etc.

David Muusz

Assistant Director for FSIS
University of Michigan

David Muusz is an Assistant Director at the University of Michigan's International Center where he directs the Faculty and Staff Immigration Services office. Before joining the University of Michigan, Muusz worked at Virginia Tech and the University of Chicago where he focused on international scholars and employees. He currently chairs the Employment Based Subcommittee on which he previously served as a member. David also served as the RegBud for Regions 5 and 8, as a member of the Travel Subcommittee, as the Chair of International Educators of Illinois and as a member of the NAFSA Trainer Corps. He is a frequent speaker on employment-based immigration and international scholar issues.
