David L. John

Mr. John currently is the CEO of The Wetlandsbank Company, LLC. He is an eco-entrepreneur who is recognized as one of the founders of wetland mitigation banking. In his capacity as founding partner of Florida Wetlandsbank, LLP, Mr. John provides innovative leadership in developing methodologies for enhancing and preserving natural resources. Mr. John is responsible for permitting, design and all aspects of environmental engineering for the company.
Mr. John’s professional and civic activities include membership to the American Society of Civil Engineers, the United States National Association of Environmental Professionals, the Florida Engineering Society, the Institute of Civil Engineers of Great Britain and the United States Society of Wetlands Scientists. He also serves as Co-Chair of The Broward Workshop Transportation Committee.
Mr. John is registered with the State of Florida, State of Texas, New Zealand, Great Britain and the European Community as a professional engineer. He has been awarded the title of European Engineer (Eur Ing) by the European Federation of National Engineering Associations. Additionally, he is a certified environmental professional with the National Association of Environmental Professionals and a professional wetland scientist with the United States Society of Wetland Scientists.
Mr. John received his Bachelor’s of Science Degree, with honors, in Engineering from Auckland University of New Zealand. He has also earned a Master of Business degree, with merit from Nova University.
