Chief Executive Officer
Mr. DeGraff is a Certified Professional Wetland Scientist who has worked on wetland and species mitigation projects throughout the United States. He is the Chief Executive Officer of WRA, Inc., an environmental consulting firm headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area with offices throughout California and Colorado. Mr. DeGraff also teaches several classes at San Francisco State University through the Romberg Tiburon Center for Environmental Studies. Mr. DeGraff has worked on over 100 mitigation projects starting from initial resource characterization through financial analysis and permit acquisition.
An 18-year veteran of WRA, Mr. DeGraff founded the company’s mitigation banking department and since then has assisted investment firms in conducting their underwriting including conducting the analyses for the largest single mitigation bank transaction in the United States. In addition, he is the project manager of first conservation bank in California involving translocation of an amphibian species as well as the first conservation bank for the Callippe silverspot butterfly. Mr. DeGraff also was the lead consultant responsible for obtaining the recent approval of the largest wetland mitigation bank in California - Petersen Ranch Mitigation Bank in Los Angeles County.
