Social media efforts can be more successful when they move beyond broadcasting information about the library to a passive audience, to fostering interaction between the library, its users, and colleague institutions. This can be done in an efficient way that optimizes staff time and collects meaningful analytics. We will demo some online tools and improved workflows to help you get the most out of your library's social media accounts.

Rachel Helbing, MLIS, MS, AHIP is Health Sciences Librarian at the University of Houston Libraries. She completed her Master of Library and Information Science and Master of Science in Health Informatics degrees at Kent State University in Ohio. Rachel has been a librarian for nearly a decade and has worked in consumer health, hospital, and academic health sciences libraries. Her interests are in health informatics and evidence-based practice.

She works with faculty members from various TMC institutions to create tailored curriculum integrated classes for students.
