Training Development Specialist

Molly Knapp, MA, AHIP, is a Training Development Specialist for the National Training Office of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine. A librarian with over a decade of experience in academic health science libraries, she received her Master of library and information science degree from the University of South Florida (Tampa, FL) in 2002. Ms. Knapp is a Distinguished Member of the Medical Library Association’s Academy of Health Information Professionals, and a 2010 NLM Fellow in Medical Informatics at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, MA. She received the 2012 Librarian of the Year award from the South Central Chapter of MLA for her development of the online class “Get Mobilized: an introduction to mobile resources and tools in health sciences libraries.” She has previously worked for LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans John P Ische Library (2002-2012) and the Rudolph Matas Library of the Health Sciences at Tulane University (2012-2016). Her research interests include information literacy, distance learning and hashtag communities.
