Gastric Adenocarcinoma with Osteoblastic Metastatic Bone Disease


A 61 years old woman was diagnosed with gastric adenocarcinoma. At presentation, extensive metastatic bone disease was evident. BMD T-scores were: lumbar spine 5.0; femur neck 3.6;
total proximal femur 4.6; and forearm -0.4. Osteoblastic metastases result in high BMD at central but not peripheral skeleton.
