Most of us have gone to meetings of local information security organizations and benefited from what they offer. Whether it be education, career advancement or just earning CPEs, local security organizations fill a valuable role in our discipline’s ecosystem. But someone has to start and run those organizations. Participating in leadership of such organizations can provide additional CPEs, resume enhancement and skills that will benefit you in work and life. Hear from officers and leaders of local security organizations as they share their secrets on how they found the entities, recruit and grow membership and find their unique place is serving local information security communities.

Louisa Hoberman is Senior Information Security Risk Manager in the Business Security and Assurance Division at VISA, Inc. Her roles include assessing business risk of deploying applications and platforms and offering risk intelligence to the product verticals.
Louisa has over 8 years of InfoSec experience at 4 of the largest State of Texas agencies, where she handled PCI-DSS and FTI compliance, incident response, business continuity/disaster recovery planning, and IAM. She has been V-P of (ISC)2-Austin Chapter since 2013 and was elected Treasurer for 2017.

He founded InfoHighway Communications, a leading ISP/CLEC in the early 90s and went on to found Network Security Services, a Infosec MSSP. He currently leads technology strategy and direction for Codero, a multi-cloud hybrid cloud hosting company. He is a published author and speaker on security and technology subjects.

Henry Moreno is an accomplished information technology, security and eDiscovery leader who has delivered secure solutions and effective results for clients in various industries such as energy, financial, healthcare and technology. He has extensive experience and in-depth knowledge in leading global information system operations and governance for highly successful organizations and companies. Skilled in managing eDiscovery, information security and compliance programs and projects in a Fortune 500 enterprise environment, Henry has been involved with the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) LegalSEC Council and is a co-author of ILTA's "Peer Security Best Practices." Henry also was involved with Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) projects that include the Security Audit Project; Privacy and Security Risk Reduction Model; and Data Set Project. He also served on ISSA’s International Board of Directors.

She currently works as a Security Architect at Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corporation (TG) and has 15+ years experience in application development and information security.

Michael Villarreal is President of the (ISC)² Alamo Chapter and is a member of Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) and Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). Mr. Villarreal is currently Vice President with Network Security Services and has over 30 years of IT and security experience. He started his career as an U.S. Air Force Computer Programmer and has been involved in network operations, administration and management as well as business process improvement. He is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
