3110 - Security White Belt Workshop

Security White Belt teaches the foundational principles of application and product security. This in-depth workshop is aimed at beginners or those new to application security. The course is broken into 14 modules. The 14 modules include: fundamentals; attacks and attackers; data breaches; business myths and the threat Landscape; IoT; cloud; mobile; software supply chain; culture and mindset; managing resources; soft skills; secure development lifecycle; privacy and customer data protection; product incident response; and knowledge sources.

NOTE: In-conference workshops offered this year will have limited seating and will require an attendee to pre-register. If you would like to attend a certain workshop, please register for the workshop during your registration process. Attendees will be checked in at the door, and walk-ups may not be granted access based on limited space.

Chris Romeo

Security Journey

Chris Romeo is CEO and co-founder of Security Journey. His passion is to bring security culture change to all organizations. Chris is first and foremost a security culture hacker, designing security training programs and building internal security community. He was the Chief Security Advocate at Cisco for five years, where he guided Security Advocates, empowering engineers to "build security in" to all products at Cisco. He led the creation of Cisco’s internal, end-to-end security belt program launched in 2012. Chris has twenty years of experience in security, holding positions across the gamut, including application security, penetration testing, and incident response.
