Having created awareness programs for decades, I can see obvious indicators that will lead to an inevitable failure in the programs no matter how well the intent or execution. This session intends to cover what are the red flags for awareness program, and potential ways to mitigate or avoid the underlying issues.

He has performed empirical research on the success of awareness efforts. His espionage simulations examine the success of security programs and provide a base of knowledge in responses to incidents, many involving human exploitation. Ira's latest book is called Advanced Persistent Security. He also writes for Computerworld, CSO and, among other publications.
