We will take a short dive into the millennial report that came out of this year's Global Information Security Workforce Survey. This presentation will cover the data sets abstracted from the study on millennials in the workforce. We will break down barriers and allow the audience to engage directly with millennials in the field. Hear directly from millennials on how they think and what they look for in an employer. This talk will cover the barrier to entry into cybersecurity and how the makeup of staff in organizations is starting to change.

The audience can ask this panel of millennials questions like:

  • What makes then tick?
  • What will be their impact on the workforce?
  • How does management attract and keep themin their ranks?

    • Leave with some knowledge and data insights to the millennial study from the 2017 Global Information Security Workforce Study.

    Michael McIntyre, CISSP, CCSP, SSCP, is a security engineer at (ISC)2.He has experience with incident response, firewall administration, SIEM and vulnerability management. Currently, he is dedicating more time to application security testing and architecture within cloud environments.

    Previously, Michael has held analytical positions in information security and military intelligence.

    Ciera Lovitt

    Educational Program Specialist
    Center for Cyber Safety and Education

    Ciera Lovitt is the education program specialist for the Center for Cyber Safety and Education. She has been with (ISC)2 and the Center since 2011 and currently oversees the creation, development and implementation of all the Center’s cyber educational programs for parents, seniors and children. She helps create and write Garfield’s Cyber Safety Adventures and is passionate about helping the community stay safe online.

    Raghu Gadam

    Raghu Gadam, MScIT, SSCP, is a security analyst at (ISC)2. In his role, Raghu is responsible for identifying, detecting and responding to security events. He is also involved with vulnerability management, supporting and monitoring a wide enterprise security systems, including firewalls, UTM, SIEM, AV, etc., and researching new trends and technologies in the security space. Raghu also has experience with various aspects of risk management. He is currently working on expanding his Blue Team skill set.
