During this presentation we'll share the latest on biometric authentication, including what every CISO should know. Attendees will also understand the vulnerabilities of physiological biometric authentication systems—how they are spoofed or hacked and current trends. Additionally, they'll learn about the latest NIST draft guidelines on biometric authentication, and how to measure the strength of biometric authentication systems. Additional topics include considerations for behavioral biometrics, biometric backlash and a glimpse into the future.

Clare Nelson’s information security career spans more than 20 years. Her middle name is MFA, and she loves everything identity. She recently evaluated 200-plus MFA vendors, resulting in a successful acquisition. Her early technical background includes encrypted TCP/IP variants for NSA. She has held leadership positions in product management, marketing and technology for companies including EMC, Dell, Novell and TeaLeaf Technology (IBM). Clare is a co-founder of C1ph3r_Qu33ns and headed ClearMark Consulting for 14 years. She is currently Director of the Office of the CTO at AllClear ID. She has delivered papers and talks at AppSec USA, InfraGard, HackFormers, BSides Austin, 2015 FTC Panel, and LASCON. She has a B.S. in mathematics from Tufts University.
