6214 - Row and Column Access Control in DB2 LUW 11

Wednesday, September 27
10:15 AM - 11:15 AM

Attend this session to learn how to control access to information using row and column access controls (RCAC) in DB2 LUW 11. RCAC enables administrators and database administrators to implement fine-grained access control. In other words, you can limit the rows and columns that a particular role or group can access. This capability is especially important in a multi-tenant, cloud-based database implementation where data must be logically segregated from different departments, divisions or companies. Examples will be provided and technical details covered in a trigger-based RCAC implementation. Although specific to DB2, the concepts and details presented can be used in other database implementations.
