Have you ever wondered how some careers take off like rockets and others never leave the launch pad? Have you observed very capable peers get overlooked when there are promotions at stake? Do you know where you want to be in five years? Ten? Do you want to know what to do in order to achieve your goals?

This presentation will combine lessons from well-known publications with real-life experience into a concise and focused career coaching event for all career levels. Topics such as self-awareness, career satisfaction, personal branding, competitive strengths and differentiators, preparing for change and others will be woven into a single session that is intended to enlighten you and help you to identify specific traits you might wish to develop further.

Emily began her career in information security while an undergraduate as a student worker and later a full-time employee in the information security department. After graduation she moved on to work as a cyber analyst for a large manufacturing firm, and two years ago became the manager of cyber operations at Western& Southern Financial Group. She has had the opportunity to build a department and capability from scratch, starting with zero associates to her present staff of six. While building the technology and processes necessary to fulfill the detect and respond capabilities, she was careful to address the career paths of the positions she was creating and hire the correct blend of technical skills and cultural fit.
