With the increasingly dynamic business environment we face, it’s likely you will see a divestiture or acquisition project sometime in your professional work history. Bad actors also are becoming more aware of mergers and acquisitions as potential targets.

This session will provide lessons learned from large, real-world divestiture and acquisition projects, with primary focus on the IT security implications. Covering both management and technical considerations, this session will discuss planning, execution, governance and potential pitfalls to avoid.

Anita Bateman is a corporate executive, enterprise architect and strategist. In addition to architecture and strategy, Anita has a demonstrated track record in cybersecurity, project delivery, vendor management, business process improvement, application development, and financial and budget management. A 19-year technology veteran, she has worked for Fortune 500 companies and premier utility and energy firms. Anita holds a M.S. in computer sciences from the University of Texas at Austin and a bachelor's in computer science from Hope College.
