In this paper, we propose a weighted spatio-temple kernel approach to visualize the over speed distribution so as to identify the risky region in road network. The novel approach was evaluated using the over speed data from the national truck management platform. Comparing with the KDE and network KDE, the proposed approach has a better performance especially when the over speed occasionally happened.

Dr. Bin Jiang is Professor at Faculty of Engineering and Sustainable Development of the University of Gävle, Sweden. His research interests center on geospatial analysis of urban structure and dynamics, e.g., topological analysis, scaling hierarchy, and agent-based modeling applied to buildings, streets, and cities, or geospatial big data in general. He developed Axwoman for topological analysis (http://fromto.hig.se/~bjg/axwoman/), and head/tail breaks for scaling analysis (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Head/tail_Breaks). Inspired by Christopher Alexander’s work, he developed a mathematical model of beauty – beautimeter, which helps address not only why a design is beautiful, but also how much beauty the design has.
