Luigi D. Notarangelo is Deputy Chief of the Laboratory of Host Defenses at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, NIH. He has authored more than 450 papers, mostly focusing on the characterization of the molecular and cellular bases of primary immune deficiencies and on the development of innovative forms of treatment for these disorders. He is Past President of the Clinical Immunology Society.
