Dr. King is Professor of Medicine Emeritus of Emory University School of Medicine & Editor-in-Chief, JACC: Cardiovascular Interventions. A pioneer in interventional cardiology, he trained 150+ invasive/interventional cardiology fellows & conducted the 1st NHLBI trial of coronary angioplasty vs bypass surgery. He served as President, American College of Cardiology (1998-1999), and has authored 500+ papers & edited/co-edited 10 books including Interventional Cardiology and Hurst’s The Heart 9th-13th Eds.
