Dr. Peter Block is a Professor in the Cardiology Division of Emory University Hospital. He is an interventional cardiologist with special interest in structural heart disease beginning with aortic and mitral valvuloplasty and ending in current clinical trials of transcatheter therapies of valve disease. His bibliography contains more than 250 publications and 45 book chapters.

Dr. Ziyad Ghazzal is Deputy to the Executive Vice President and is Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs at the Faculty of Medicine at the American University of Beirut where he received his MD degree and residency training. He is a Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine and a practicing interventional cardiologist. He is also Adjunct Professor at Emory University where he completed his fellowship training and was a full-time faculty member until 2008. He is an editorial consultant for JACC Cardiovascular Interventions and the American Journal of Cardiology. He was an associate editor of ACC-Cardiosource. He was the co-chair of the international distant learning program of the American College of Cardiology.

EmmanouilS. Brilakis, MD, PhD, is an interventional cardiologist at the Minneapolis Heart Institute and adjunct Professor of Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.. He is investigating treatment of chronic total occlusions and saphenous vein grafts, intracoronary imaging, antiplatelet treatment optimization post coronary stenting, radiation safety in the catheterization laboratory, and implementation of new technologies in healthcare. He has authored or co-authored over 400 manuscripts and has written the Manual of CTO Interventions. He receives funding from the Department of Veterans Affairs and industry.

He is an interventional cardiologist with over 30 years of experience in this field. His areas of research interest include coronary artery disease and structural heart disease. He is an active investigator in the TAVR arena and novel devices for the management of mitral valve disease.

Dr. Sarembock, an interventional cardiologist received his medical degree and doctorate at the University of Cape Town. He spent two years at Yale University, then moved on to the University of Virginia, where he did translational and clinical research, taught and practiced medicine. He was Director of the Coronary Care Unit and the Harrison Distinguished Teaching Professor of Internal Medicine. He helped create and maintain translational and clinical research programs and was a leading participant nationally in NIH and industry-supported clinical trials. In 2007, he joined the Ohio Heart and Vascular Center. He has authored a wide range of publications in in high-impact journals and contributed more than 250 peer-reviewed articles, abstracts, book chapters, and invited publications in cardiology. In addition, he is a peer reviewer for many of the leading journals in both clinical and investigational cardiovascular medicine.

He has published more than 300 manuscripts and presented more than 150 scientific abstracts in the field of interventional cardiology and peripheral vascular diseases.
