Increased utilization is good for the telehealth industry and the health of the population. While many innovations have been made in telehealth, these advancements are only effective if used. Discussion will center around building demand and engaging consumers toward a tipping point toward a sustained market.

Nina M. Antoniotti

Executive Director for TeleHealth and Clinical Outreach

Dr. Nina Antoniotti is SIU Health Care’s Executive Director of TeleHealth and Clinical Outreach. Dr. Antoniotti received her diploma in Nursing from Akron General Medical Center, Akron Ohio; her Bachelors degree in Health Care Administration from St. Joseph’s College, Windham Maine; her Masters in Business from Cardianl Stritch College, Milwaukee, WI; and her Doctorate in Organizational Systems from Saybrook University in California.


Dr. Nina Antoniotti, is an internationally known leader in TeleHealth; is past Chair of ATA Standards and Guidelines Committee; past ATA Board Member, past-chair of ATA’s Policy Committee; and past VP of the Board of the Center for Telemedicine Law in Washington, DC. She currently serves ATA in many capacities, and is on the Standards and Guidelines Committee.

In 2007, Dr. Antoniotti received ATA’s President’s Award for Individual Achievement in advancing Telemedicine world-wide. She has been instrumental in developing sustainable models of TeleHealth with expertise in clinical operations, innovative deployment of technology, legal and regulatory issues in virtual care, public policy initiatives, and all aspects of delivering care at a distance. Dr. Antoniotti has many innovative was to cost effectively implement successful TeleHealth strategies in all health care settings.

In 2009, Dr. Antoniotti was inducted into ATA’s College of Fellows for contributions to the world of telemedicine and advancing virtual care around the globe. Dr. Antoniotti is also known for her work on deploying Telemedicine in China and Iran. Dr. Antoniotti is very well known for her willingness to help others be successful in their TeleHealth initiatives and in her vast knowledge used in consulting with organizations in starting, managing, and improving outcomes associated with the use of TeleHealth.

Don Graf

National Telemedicine Director
UnitedHealthcare

Don Graf currently serves as the National Director of Telemedicine with UnitedHealthcare. During the past twenty years, Don has sustained a consistent record of developing successful telemedicine programs that deliver medical services to patients living rural hard to reach communities.
Don has received national best practice awards for innovative use of telehealth technology and has published works addressing healthcare disparity among medically complex children living in isolated Native American Navajo communities.
During the several years, he has actively participated in telehealth reform initiatives by serving on local regional and national boards and committees. Don currently serves on the American Medical Association Telehealth Coding Task Force, the National Quality Forum Telehealth Committee and the American Telemedicine Association Education Committee.

Henry DePhillips

Chief Medical Officer
Teladoc

Dr. Henry DePhillips, chief medical officer of Teladoc, is experienced in the practice of medicine, medical management and health informatics. In addition to practicing family medicine early in his career, his experience includes serving as senior medical director for a major managed care company and several medical technology companies, and serving in a business development capacity for a leading consulting firm. He is an expert on use of informatics to influence personal and clinical decision-making.

At Teladoc, Henry is responsible for the overall delivery of high quality clinical care to Teladoc patients and the supervision and expansion of Teladoc’s physician network. He is passionate about the potential for technology to improve the quality of healthcare and believes that leveraging technology to allow patients to receive care when and where they want is a critical component to improving access to the medical system.

Prior to joining Teladoc, Henry held leadership positions in healthcare consulting, health insurance and healthcare information technology. Former positions include senior medical director at Independence Blue Cross of Pennsylvania and chief medical officer at MEDecision (a clinical care management software company); Medem (a physician hosted website and PHR company); PDR Network (an electronic patient safety communications company); and Audax Health (a consumer engagement technology company). Henry was also the head of business development, North America, for McKinsey’s international Health Systems Institute.

Henry received a bachelor of science degree in biochemistry from Trinity College and his M.D. at Hahnemann University School of Medicine. He performed his residency in family and community medicine at the Medical Center of Delaware.

Formerly in private practice for 10 years, Henry remains board certified in family and community Medicine. As a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians (FAAFP), he has been recognized for his service in family medicine, leadership in the advancement of care and contributions to continuing professional development and medical education.
